Meet the Classic Modern Thong! I am so excited to share this new pattern with all of you! It has been in the making for some time now. I originally began designing this pattern in 2018 but took a break once my son was born and my husband and I moved halfway across the country. Now that life has settled down a bit and my son is older I was finally able to design this new pattern and it turned out to be much better than my initial design in 2018.
About The Classic Modern Thong
The Classic Modern Thong is a simple silhouette that features a high waist and a deep cut thigh for a figure flattering shape. It is super comfortable especially for those of us that don’t wear the thong cut often. This pattern comes in 3 classic feminine designs. Version 1 is meant to be an everyday basic thong style. Version 2 is made out of stretch lace for a sexier yet dainty feminine vibe and Version 3 combines the comfort of Version 1 with the dainty sexiness of Version 2 with a lacy overlay embellishment perfect for a more romantic evening.
This pattern is for the advanced beginner sewist but I encourage the confident beginning sewist to give it a try! Start with Version 1 to warm up your skills and then move on to the more complex Version 2 and 3.

The Classic Modern Thong comes in 8 sizes from XXS to XXXL.

Fabric & Notions
Version 1: Stretch knit, stretch silk charmeuse (can use a “silk” polyester alternative), power mesh, or stretch lace with 80% stretch or similar fabric, picot elastic or similar decorative edge elastic, cotton jersey for lining
Version 2: 9″ Stretch lace with edging, fold over elastic, cotton jersey for lining
Version 3: Stretch knit, stretch silk charmeuse (can use a “silk” polyester alternative), power mesh, or stretch lace with 80% stretch or similar fabric, 6” stretch lace or any stretch lace with edging for overlay, picot elastic, cotton jersey for lining
